2. SSA-DDS, called_to inquire about the LAS Overseas
Effectiveness program in connection with his preparation of the CIA answer to
OCB's review of the training needs for overseas effectiveness. He appeared
quite enthusiastic about the IOE course announcement and planned to mention it
in his report. He also expressed the hope that the wives and families of
employees would eventually be included in the program. Orr told him that
such was our plan and also informed him of the new Americans Abroad program.
