current interpretation of the Mission of the Office of Collection and
Dissemination. is sending to me some new written material
on this subject. He was quite pleased on what we will call the
Collection Panel. He expressed a degree of apprehension on the narrow-
ness implied by many persons in referring to OCD as a "Collection
Office." The stress which is made is that of the usability of know-
ledge which comes from proper reference service.
