The information in this report is based on an examination of the two
leading daiiies in each of the East European countries exclusive of the
USSR, rftro two newspapers are in the majority of cases the organ of the
Coriununist Party (,in certain countrrj.es knoivns as the Ylorkerst Party) and of
the trade union organizations. In all cases, except Poland, Germany and
Czechoslovakia, where the Communist Party newspaper appears daily, tyre all
newspapers in question are publis].ied six clays a week.

north of Koranpho i J. Iviany of the shells were. filled with poison gas.
At 1834 hours of the same day, the enemy fired over 50 shells, also filled
with poison gas, at North Korean units near Kichzhon, West of Koranpho.

ical warfare in alaya, destroying crops so as to inf];ct hunger upon hun~
dreds of thousands of 1!Qalayans. According to the Readers' Digest the British
have been doing extensive research on BW and London and Washington carry on
active exchange of information of chemical and bacteriological warfare.
Many British experts have worked at Camp Dietrick, Maryland.
