Morning Meeting of 28 July 1966
Sheldon noted that portions of the Joint Imagery Interpretation
Review Group report have been circulated to Agency components for
comment. It was agreed that the Executive Director's office would
arrange to develop an Agency position on this report.
DD/S reported that the security case involving a U. S. industrial
official (mentioned at the Morning Meeting yesterday) is being reviewed
by the USIB Security Committee. An in-house damage report is being
prepared by the Agency, and a study of security and travel controls on
contractors is under way.
DD/S reported that a Career Trainee in the Headquarters area is
currently missing.
Carver reported on the status of an outgoing Department cable
which he helped draft with Assistant Secretary Bundy concerning the
political situation in SVN.
DD/P reported briefly on discussions with Bill Bundy concerning
forthcoming assignment in DD/P's plan to 25X1
meet with Vance to discuss this is deferred until Vance returns from
a current vacation.

Warner noted that a censored version of the record of the closed
Senate session has been submitted to the Congressional Record.
The Director commended for study an Agency report from
(IN 65003).
ACTIONS:
1. The Director asked that all future correspondence from the
Agency to congressmen specify in the first paragraph the exact nature
of the inquiry or subject which caused the Agency letter to be written.
