We have undertaken a review of the proposed revision to the Director
of Central Intelligence Directives 5/1, 5/2, 5/3 and 5/4, as requested in
your letter of April 20, 1984.
We are holding a regional conference out of the city for most of
this week, and request an extension of your deadline of May 7, 1984, to
May 11, 1984, to give us time to conduct a thorough review of the material.
Should this not be satisfactory, please advise me.
