The mission of the committee. under the ec neral guidance of the Director of Central Intelligence, is to advise and assist in the examination of intelligence collection problems which are specifically referred to the cornmitiec b.\ the Director of Central Intelligence in execution of his responsibilities for planning, reviewing and-ex ali:ating foreign intelligence activities. The committee shall respond to requests from the Director of Central Intelligence a. Examine specific intelligence targets. either substantive or geographic, and recommend actions necessary to improve collection on such targets and ensure timely response to related priority needs of the Intelligence Community. h.
