1. The Operational Engineering Review Board was held on 1 October
1987 at 1330. See Attachment A for a list of attendees. See Attachment B
for the Agenda.
2. B. Hunter opened the meeting and a walk on Priority A RFC was
discussed. See Attachment G for a description of HU-RFC-E-025-87. '
3. Reviewed all the new DRs. See Attachment C for a description of
those new DRs discussed. The in process DRs scheduled for a status update
were addressed. See Attachment D for the current status of all DRs.
3. The new MRs were reviewed for comment. See Attachment E for a
description of the new MRs. See Attachment F for the current status of
all MRs.
4. The new RFCs were discussed. See Attachment G for a description
of the new RFCs. See Attachment H for the current status of all RFCs.
5. The Action Items previously assigned at the T-ERB were reviewed.

down for maintenance.

Description:
Speed access to Option Menus.
Option Menus were loaded into cache memory by adding the OPTCACHE file in
OPTION-SYS and option/fx to the JSTART files on all six systems. This reduces
disk accesses and speeds production. Change took effect after system reboot/
daily maintenance.
ERB Action:Concern as to whether the memory will get too full.

Use of the DAN for ATEX file names results in slow retrieval time and heavy
system overhead to retrieve messages by BFN from the AUTODIN Retention queue on
ATEX.
Use of the BFN vice the DAN would eliminate need for user to do selective
directory of AUTODIN-RTA to find the DAN. Need to have the VAX provide up to a
nine character BFN to ATEX vice DAN in file header sent to ATEX.

Temporary change is needed to install performance data gathering changes on the
