SUBJECT Request fora Geographic Analysis
Pursuant to discussions conducted between
the Office of Geographic and Cartographic Research
(OGCR) and the ~ Branch, it is requested that OGCR
undertake a geograp is analysis of the Cambodian border
boundaries with Thailand and the Socialist Republic of
Vietnam. The dispute over these border boundaries appears
to be the basis for current military clashes between
Cambodia and its neighbors, and a geographical analysis
by OGCR would measurably assist in furthering our under-
standing of the problem.
