1. It has been recently brought to our attention by personnel
of your office that due to sunderstanding FY 1959 funds were
not allocated to the Contract existing at
The reason given for this discrepancy was that at the end of the
past fiscal year a balance remained which was deemed adequate to
carry on this years program. However, at this time the interpret-
ation by the Office of Logistics is that this being a task type
contract, fiscal year 1958 funds may not be expended for F7 1959
tasks.
2. To liquidate the deficit and effect payment for work already
accomplished this fiscal year by and to provide for funding
of a task now being negotiated., it is requested that the sum of
$30,000.00 be allocated from Allotment 9-7900-50-600 to RD-128 in
Task Order 3.
