Subject Wall Thickness Measurement
Status NBS results so far have been negative and no further progress
has been made. However, NBS is starting a program using
ultra sonics to measure the thickness of concrete roadbeds.
This program should furnish information applicable to wall
measurements.
Subject Wall Measurements by Microvaves
Pulsed intensity microwave results on walls so far show
that either no signal is received or the correlation has
been unsatisfactory. NBS has requested assistance from
the Radar Group, Boulder, Colorado, on this approach.
The wall measurement progress may be summed up by saying that while both
approaches appear feasible, the results obtained so far are not
encoura4ing.
