SUBJECT . Action on L__ _]Proposal for "Evaluation of Noiseless
Drili i* 9etTiods't_.. (Ad Hoc 25)
1. The attached proposal was submitted to the R&D "wall
drilling panel" for recommendations at its August meeting. The
Panel recommended rejection on the basis that a comprehensive
study such as suggests is not approach best suited to the
solution of t s roblem. In addition, members representing ED
and CD questioned competence in this field.
2. Since the "wall drilling panel" recommends rejection of
this proposal, it is suggested that the APD Panel concur.
