Reference is made to page-size overlay SC/OI-.23-56 and its accompanying base map. The combination of the map and overlay depicts the flight track of Mission A-2023 and shows time and selected check and turning points. 2. All statements in this prelim nary report are based upon such observations as could be made by two analysts separately monitoring the two information channels while making a copy of the tape. No machine measurements have been made as yet because of concentration on higher priority target areas. 3. TOXEN signals were intercepted within a few miles after penetration and continuously thereafter until exit. From one to eight simultaneous signals were received at any given point. 4. Several times during the flight Tn'TFF fire control radar signals were received. The most significant of the k'FIFF signals was received about 50 miles west of LVOV where 1 minute 15 seconds of automatic lock-on occurred,, break-locks and then followed by 1 minute 45 seconds of lock. In the CRIMAN area there were several cases of intermittent search and lock. 5, Unidentified signals on this flight were few, almost all of wrich occurred in Czechoslovalda.
