MEMORANDUM FOR: Chairman, Ad Hoc Group of USIB on
Congressional Review
SUBJECT : Security.
On 7 March 1975 Mr. Charles W. Kane,, Director of
Security, CIA, and I met with Mr. Benjamin C. Marshall,
Security Director of the Senate Select Committee.

Mr. Marshall stated he recognized the concern in the Intelligence
Community and is taking every possible step to provide maximum
security. As an example of implementing the guidelines, he
stated he plans on requiring all duplication onone machine fwith complete

5. I advised Mr. Marshall that if desired in connection
with his security responsibilities, I would arrange a meeting of
the USIB Security Committee at which he could meet the members
and outline security procedures of the Select Committee. I said
I thought this might facilitate any necessary contacts he may have
on security measures among the USIB departments and agencies.
He expressed appreciation and this will be done (tentatively set
for 25 March 1975).
