I am writing to you on behalf of Mr. Edward Eisele, the
Chairperson of a Young Presidents' Organization study tour, who
has requested that you speak before his group when they are in
Washington on May 23-24.
Mr. Eisele and twenty-five couples will be traveling in
the Soviet Union in late May and early June. They have scheduled
several noted speakers for their stop in Washington, including
Robert McFarlane, David Chadchadvadze and Dr. Dimitri Simes.
They would be very honored to have you speak to the group on
Soviet propaganda and disinformation, and I urge you to make
every effort to fit this event into your schedule.
As a friend of Mr. Eisele, I can vouch for his integrity and
commitment to make this study tour a very serious and worthwhile
endeavor. Your participation would be an invaluable addition to
their preparation for the trip to the Soviet Union. If, however,
you are unable to participate, I would appreciate your assistance
in obtaining an appropriate speaker.
