I understand that this man is presently on directed Administrative
leave from whatever position he holds in your Agency and there
appears to be some question about his physical ability to perform
his duties. I am advised that he is approximately 60 years of
age, reasonably well and healthy, with 15 years of satisfactory
government service--several of them with your unit, is a veteran
and has but two more years to go for retirement benefits.
From my information, it would seem a loyal and
industrious worker, deeply appreciative of the privilege of working
for your Agency and that he possesses a most earnest desire to
continue his association and employment at a time when such are
most urgently needed.
I would, therefore, most deeply appreciate your initiation of a
review of his case for the purpose of advising me of his current
status and your contemplated action with respect to continuing
him in employment, which I hope you will find it possible to do.
