Congratulations on being nominated to the position of Deputy
Director of Central Intelligence.
As you know, your nomination to this position is subject to Rule 5
of the Rules of Procedure for the Select Committee on Intelligence
of the United States Senate. A copy of these rules is enclosed for
your information. In order to facilitate the nomination process,
we have also enclosed Committee forms for completion.
We also request that you provide us with a complete statement of
your CIA career from 1951 to the present. This statement should
include, but not be limited to, any involvement you may have had
with respect to MKULTRA or similar programs, Operation CHAOS and
the activities of Messrs. Wilson and Terpil. You may classify any
portion of this statement that you believe merits this treatment.
