BUILD RADIO RELAY UNITS -- Rigs, Sovetskaya Latviya, 28 Apr 53
The Riga Radio Plant imeni A. S. Popov is building radio relay units
for transmission of radio programs to kolkhozes by means of telephone wires.
Each unit consists of a transmitter, five intermediate amplifiers, and 25
loud-speakers.
BUILDS RADIOS -- Leningradskaya Pravda, 30 Apr 53
The Leningrad Metal Products Plant produces 44 Neva radio receivers
daily.
TRIPLE OUTPUT OF DNEPR-52 RECEIVERS -- Kiev, Pravda Ukrainy, 22 May 53
The Dnepropetrovsk Radio Plant is producing Dnepr-52 five-tube,
three-band receivers at three times the 1952 rate.
The plant is preparing to produce a new six-tube receiver with a
3-watt dynamic speaker. Some of the sets will be equipped with record

RADIO PLANT OPERATES AT A LOSS -- Minsk, Sovetskaya Belorussiya, 7 Jun 53
The Minsk Radio Plant, Ministry of Local Industry Belorussian SSR,
is operating at a loss and exceeding the plan limit for the production
cost of a Minsk record player. The plant is supposed to start production
of a new model Belarus' radio receiver on i July, but it has not yet
prepared for this task.

LACK SPARE PARTS FOR TELEVISION SETS -- Moscow, Vechernyaya Moskva, 26 May 53
Repairs of T-2 and KVN-49 television sets are being held up because
Moscow shops are not receiving sufficient picture tubes, power and step-up
transformers, condensers, and other parts. The Ministry of Electric Power
Stations and Electrical Industry should organize the mass output of picture
tubes and other parts.
MAKE 10,000TH LOUD.-SPEAKER -- Riga, Sovetskaya Latviya, 22 May 53
The Riga Electrical Fitting Plant has completed its 10,000th loud-speaker.
PRODUCE RECORD PLAYERS, THERMOSTATS -- Vil'nyus, Sovetskaya Litva, 7 Jun 53
The assembly shop of the Vil'nyus El'fa Plant assembled 36 UP-1 record
players, 70 thermostats, and many other products above the plan in the first
5 days of June.
