Yesterday's temperatures in Leningrad were 6 degrees below zero during the
morning and 2 degrees during the day.(l)
Yesterday during the day, cloudy weather with light precipitation pre-
vailed in the Belorussian SSR. Fog was recorded almost everywhere. Temper-
atures at 1500 were 5 degrees below zero in Kostyukovichi, 3 below in Gomel',
zero in Bychikha, one degree above zero in Grodno, 2 in Minsk, Baranovichi,
and Mogilev, 2 in Lel'chitsy, and 6 in Brest.(2)
Temperatures at 0900 this morning were 15 degrees below zero in Nar'yan-Mar,
12 below in Ufa, 11 below in Saratov and Orel, 10 below in Molotov, 9 below
in Kuybyshev and Rostov, 8 below in Kazan', 7 below in Kiev and Khar'kov,
6 below in Gor'kiy, 4 below in Minsk, Lvov, Odessa, and Kishinev. 3 below in
Leningrad, zero in Riga, 2 degrees above zero in Yalta, and 8 in Sukhimi.
Last night's lowest temperature in Moscow was 9 degrees below zero; it

Yesterday during the day, mostly cloudy weather prevailed in the Belorus-
sian SSR. Precipitation in the form of hail was recorded in tht northern por-

regions, in the northern portion of the central regions, and the northeastern
regions.

Yesterday during the day, slightly cloudy, warm weather prevailed in the
Belorussian SSE. Temperatures at 1500 were zero in Orsha, one degree above
zero in Gomel', 2 in Bragin, 3 in Minsk, Polotsk, and Slutak, 4 in Borisov, 5
in Lida and Novogrudok, 6 in Grodno, and 7 in Brest and Pruzhany.(2)
This morning, overcast weather with snowfalls and moderate subzero weather
prevailed in the northeastern regions of the European USSR. Moderate subzero
weather was recorded also in the Volga Region. Slightly cloudy weather with
temperatures slightly below zero prevailed in the rest of the European USSR.
Last night's lowest temperature in Moscow was 5 degrees below zero; it

This morning, cold weather with snowfalls of short duration prevailed in
the northern regions of the European USSR. Temperatures dropped to 30-34 degrees
below zero in the northern portion of ATkhangel'skaya Oblast and in Komi ASSR.
Snowfalls, strong winds, and local snowstorms were recorded in the eastern regions
of the European USSR.
Last night's lowest temperature in Moscow was zero; it was 2 degrees above

Brest, 14 in Bobruysk, 15 in Pinsk, and 16 above zero in Mozyr'.(2)
This morning, overcast weather with snowfalls and temperatures slightly
below zero prevailed in the northern and extreme eastern regions of the European
USSR. Extreme subzero temperatures were recorded in the extreme eastern regions
of the European USSR. Very low subzero temperatures were recorded in the ex-
treme northeastern regions.

SSR. Temperatures at 1500 were 2 degrees above zero in Polotsk, 3 in Vitebsk,
4 in Minsk, 5 in Brest, and 6 in Lel'chitay and Grodno.(2)

This morning, warm, cloudy weather prevailed in the northwestern regions
of the European USSR, the Belorussian SSR, the Ukraine, and the western por-
tion of the central region of the European USSR. Light rains were recorded
locally.
Last night's lowest temperature in Moscow was zero and it was 3 degrees
above zero at noon today.(3)

the morning and 5 degrees during the day.(1)
