1. The Agency has been Invited to participate in an educational
program established for fittecan ?idcareer Federal Officials. The pro-
gram is especially designed for one year of advanced graduate stuccr
during 196-66 at the Woodrow Wilson School at Princeton University.
2. The purpose of the p.-;bra is twofold: to improve the
public aervice-by enhancing ?;he professional t etence in and
dedi.c3atti?an to this field by qualified individwas; and to further
the caroore of able mm and wm= --ti a interested in and co -
corned with problems of Gov rrmvsntal operation and policy.
3. Each official invited to participate in this mideaureer
program Witl be aided to plan for himself a gar's educational
experience that will meet his needs for the career he sees ahead.
The program will be marked by a notable absence of academic
paraphernaa. There is to bo no counting of credits and semestir
hours.
4. By porsistontly "mixing" thedcaxeer Officials with a
variety of highly qualified Indivict als from other fields and at-ier
experiences, both from the U. S. amci other countries, the prograi
mill expose the individual to the enlightening friction of bright
minds. A majority of student in the School will be outstanding Ly
qualified and mature college graduates educated in the social
sciences or the humanities; sceie -wi.tl have been educated in the
