The Novo-Sreceatorsl: Machine-Buildi.g Plant iraeni Stalin is making
extra hoevy duty exc.vatore with e 1.1?cu'ic-meter scoop and a 1,000-ton
load ccpacity, drag lines, rolli.ig mil's, and many other machines.
The application new technology is aiding plant production in
many ways. .". plant technician hec devised a new method of making ollors
used in cold rolling, thus ii.creaein, labor productivity more than 200
percent. Use of these rollers at the "Zaporozhetal'" Plant has demonstrated
their at durability.
b?'other plant tochnician has improved the method of making hollow
cylinders, up to 22 meters in size. He designed multiple drilling and lov-
ing heads which increased labor productivity 250 percent in an operatior
formerly considered a bottleneck. The use If these new tools saved the
plant 5,406 machine-Lours i,: meting the cyli:,dere for Dnepr Gas imenl
Lenin hydrogeneratoro and turbines.
A group of plant t.echuici;is have devi;,ed a now c:.d improved method
of making rotors, etelom domLie, and drums for high-preeeure boilers. Ppplice-

ing electric mine hoiste 12 percent, shale gas generators 14 percent, coal
grinding mills 8 percent, electric dehydrators 10 percent, and rollers for
cold rolling 15 percent.

These machines a:e three times as productive as the former design.
Pneumatic equipment is being widely used in the plant. Machines with
pneumatic chucks are in operation in the section making levers for brake
,i?aues. Fifteen more chucks with pneumatic grips'are now being made. They
will be installed on turret lathes, diamond drilling machines, and milling
machines.

in the'3-year plan for animal husbandry development by producing the planned
volume of irrigation end drilling equipment to be used on farms. The plant
