Skilled workers from all parts of Poland are being traneterred to Dolny
Slack for specialized work in new plants. A new boiler plant will goon be
built at the gaea?)rks in Wroclaw. A new chemical plant and the "Bokita"
plant are being erected at Brzeg Dolny. Ze iron foundry at Pafav+.g is
being rebuilt and will be ready for use on 30 September. In Wroclaw two
plants for processing gravel and ratble into building material will be
activated shortly -- one on the banks of the Oder River, the other in
the quarry section of Wroclaw.
The sum of 35 million zlotys has been assigned for the construction of
a new savage system in Grochow around Iobioleka and. Ostrobramska streets.
The sum of 85 million zlotys has been assigned to extend The sewage
system to the central part of Praga.
The sum of 68 million zlotys has been assigned for laying of new side-
walks and roads in populated districts.
Three million zlotys will be used. to rebuild the bath house at the
former "Polus" recreation center and 13 million for a few playgrounds.
Fourteen million zlotys Will be used for new street lighting in
Targowek, and 6 millicn for lighting of other streets of the city.
WORK BEGINS ON NEW PLANTS IN WROCIAW -- Rzeczpoepolita, No 203, 26 Jul 49
The following construction was begin in Wroclaw on 22 July: a paint
and varnish plant, at the Harbo.? Channel, Srzywousty Street; additional
buildings for the "Archimedes" plant; and a coffee-processing factory
on Stalin Street.
