November 1947 PAGES SUPPLEMENT DISTRIBUTION STA1E WAR I OX NAVY 1. -Towards the end of June 1947, several freight trains carrying poison gas bombs weighing from 250 to 300 lbs. each were loaded in the Ergotan factory at Stassf'urt and left for Stettin. The extent of these ehipnents can be judged fraft the fact that one train consisted of forty-five cars hauling 1320 bombs. 2. During the period froraI-Tarch 1947 to 10 June 1947, German gas shells (105 and 150 mm) and gas-spray cylinders were shipped by rail from the Kapen A.G. ammunition factory near Dessau to =aolgast, where they were unloaded. Each train was loaded with a total weight of 1,200 tons, and was accompanied by six German guards and one Russian. The round trip from Kapen to t Jolgast to Kapen took ten days, including one day for unloading. The trains were some- times held up for one day by trains from Leipzig with similar freight. About four gains per week arrived at Wolgast harbor from the Kapen works.
