Angola has been very helpful to the United States in recent months and years, in fact, in a number of different areas. Most recently, theyive been critical to assisting the United States, along with our Western allies and Canada, in resolving the conflict-in Namibia. it was the Angolans that put pressure upon the SWAPO to agree to the United Nations plan. And the Angolans, in addition, have been very helpful in the efforts that. we .were making with respect to the settlement in Zimbabwe. Theytve assisted in reducing fiensions in Zaire. Theyfve been very supportive of American investments inside Angola. - BRADEN: Dtd you see that piece in the Wall Street Journal on that t ast point of yours?
