SUBJECT: "Yuriy Vladimirovich Andropov," CR 82-15053,
September 1982
1. At our luncheon today, Secretary Shultz was extremely
laudatory on the value of the Andropov publication. He said it
was an outstanding piece of work and was dog-eared from him having
read it so many times. He said that after seeing Andropov he
reread the paper and it sharpened his understanding of Andropov
considerably. He felt that it was right on target.
2. Please convey to your analysts who prepared the publi-
cation the Secretary's commendation.
