This model, rigged with a 14-cubic-meter bucket and a 75-meter boom, is to go to a coal field. It was completed ahead of schedule. Basically, this is the same as the ESh 14/65 walking-excavator BUILD BULLDOZERS FROM METAL SAVED -- Moscow, Pravda, 24 Jan 53 The Chelyabinsk Plant imeni Kolyushchenko has met all orders from the great construction protects ahead of time. The plant is starting off its 1953 program with a metal-saving campaign, pledging to build 50 bulldozers, 25 scrapers, and 5 motor graders from metal saved. Moscow, Pravda, 14 Jun 53 The Chelyabinsk Plant imeni Kolyushchenko has reduced the weight of its bulldozers by 800 kilograms. This has enabled the management to save enough metal to make over 150 bulldozers. BUILD DITCHERS -- Vil'nyus, Sovetskaya Litva, 5 Apr 53 The Minsk Udarnik Plant has established production of the KM-1400-M universal ditcher, which can be used for both drainage and irrigation work. During 1953, the plant will begin production of scrapers, bulldozers, and multibucket lift trucks. PUMPS SERVE CANALS, GES -- Stalinabad, Kommunist Tadzhikistana, 22 Jan 53 The Sverdlovsk Urals Hydraulic Machinery Plant has turned out three large pumps during January. Pumps built by the plant are performing well at in- stallations on the Volga-Don and other canals, and at hydroelectric stations. The plant will increase its production of pumps by 50 percent during 1953? It also plans to produce hydroturbines for use in cities. SHIP PUMPS TO TSD 1ANSKAYA GEE -- Moscow, Moskovskaya Pravda, 26 Feb 53 During 1952, the Moscow Pump Plant imeni Kalinin delivered 25 pumps to the Tsimlyanskaya GsS project to serve its related irrigation canals. Each of these pumps can move 5,200 cubic meters of water per hour. They are not, however, the most powerful pumps the plant builds; some with a productivity of 7,000 cubic meters per hour have been developed. The plant has completed and is about to ship to the great construction projects six sluice pumps, each of 600 cubic meters hourly productivity. During January, the plant shipped to the Kakhovskaya GEE project a powerful dredging pump, capable of moving 6,500 cubic meters of pulp per hour. This is similar to the pumps used in the construction of the Volga- Don Canal. PRODUCE DREDGES, PUMPS -- Minsk, Sovetskaya Belorussiya, 20 Mar 53 The Bobruysk Machine Building Plant imeni Stalin has established production of suction dredges and sand pumps. The 12-R-7 dredging pump put out by the plant is used for deepening rivers and canals and for building up dams. The 8-LZ sand pump is being used at the great construction projects, and at coal mining and gold mining enterprises. BUILD UNITS FOR CONCRETE WORK -- Moscow, Trud, 7 Apr 53 The Zaporozh'ye Dneprovskiy Machinery Plant is fulfilling orders for the Kakhovskaya GRS project. Automatic concrete plants, concrete transfer units, vibrators, and drilling units are manufactured at the plant. Plant workers are now assembling an electric overhead traveling crane of 30 tons lifting capacity. DRILLING EQUIPMENT FOR CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS -- Baku, Bakinsky Rabochiy, 7 Apr 53 The Gorlovka Novo-Gorlovskiy Machine Building Plant is establishing production of new drilling equipment for the great construction projects. The aggregate should perform well under field conditions. A new drilling rig now in production can drill wells one-half meter in diameter to a depth of 500 meters. The Leningrad Boiler and Turbine Institute gentral Scientific Research Boiler and Turbine Institute imeni Polzunov7has developed plans for an original boiler aggregate to be used on floating power stations. It will provide power for walking excavators, suction dredged, and other machines working on the construction of the Main Turkmen Canal. The P-75 locomobile built by the Mogilev Locomobile Plant can run on the most varied fuels, including sawdust. The machine is used widely at peat processing areas and at timber enterprises in the far north. Recently, the P-75 has been used on the construction of the North Crimean Canal and the Kakhovskaya GES. The plant has recently been casting its own flywheels and cylinders, items which it formerly got from other enterprises. When the Syzran' Hydroturbines Plant held up delivery of certain iron castings, the Mogilev plant began to cast these parts, too. The plant's pattern shop recently manufactured a large consignment of patterns for the Lyudinovo Locomobile Plant. The Mogilev Locomobile Plant has shipped out a group of P-75 locomobiles, all of which were built in 25 percent less time than prescribed by norm. During the past 2 months, the plant has undertaken a number of measures aimed at reduc'.ng production costs. It has installed new equipment and attachments, while additional con3tent-flow lines for machining parts have been set up. Casting technology has been improved since the installation of some centrifugal casting machines. The Mogilev Locomobile Plant saved up to 300 kilograms of metal in the building of each of a recently completed lot of P-75 locomobiles. Changes in the design of the machines' running gear accounte,.! for 150 kilograms of the weight reduction. Sanitized Copy Approved for Release 2011/09/13: CIA-RDP80-00809A000700140092-3
