The Zeiss plant is also producing, in the main plant, prisms. for armored field
vehicle (AFV) periscopes which are supplied to them rotigh by the
firm of Jenaer Glaswerk Like the submarine Peri?5OX1-HUM
scope prisms, the AAFV periscope p. sms are group and polished on both sides
(botton and top) and then gLven a coating with a liquid application (similar
process to silvering).
5. The main plant is also producing glass measuring plates (Mess fatten (sic)
and again the rough glace is supplied by Jenaer Glaswerk. 50X1-HUM
The type of glass is "aasoterm" which was first produced by Jenaer Ulaswerk in
1950 and is a combination of "Ropax" and "Tempax" glass constructed to with-
stand extremes of intense heat and cold. On completion, these plates are sent
to a metal factory in Yeipzisy. The quantity of plates, and the exact location
of the factory are unknotim).
