I have a memo from Security which tells you that three candidates for pilots in our U-2 program have been approved by the usual special panel which evaluates all available medical, psychological and security info concerning the candidates. Going back to the days of General Cabell, Security was required to inform the DDCI of all such pilot hirings. Do you want to continue this practise or is it OK for Security and DD/S&T to handle the matter between themselves.?
