Prices for many staples, including milk and dairy products, fats, end flour have gone down in the commune.(5) In nn effort to fulfill its quotas on time the Crabenisul-de-Campie Col- lective brought 10,000 kilograms of potatoes tc the market on M>,l:ai Vitcazu Souarc in Cluj in one day; however, the quality of the potatoes was below stand- ~d.(6) Byi6 July, the Grabenisul-de-Campie Collective had sold 15,000 kilograms of potatoes, 2,500 r;llograms of white flour, and 50U kilograma of corn meal on the Cluj market. The Mitiu-Oherlei Collective sold 3,500 kilo~ams of vege- tables.(4) Craiova ]?egiune The Izbiceni Collective, Corabia Raion, supplied the colon cooperative with 486 l:ilop?ams of cucumbers, 796 }a1o~?acns of peas, f370 kilo;;t?ams of radishes, 550 kilo~z?nms of string beans, 640 kilograms of cabbage, and lame quantities of onions, garlic, lettuce, etc,(?) The Doldu Cooperative, Caracal Raion, induced peasants to deliver their produce for June 1y53 in 15 days. The cooperative delivered to the ;1ge:vacoeuer- ativc 395 }:llograms of ~cal.lions, 4,361 kilograms of potatoes, 1,203 }alograms of cabbage, 607 kiloT,-rams of lettuce, 716 }a lograms of gre=r peas and other vegetabl.es,(7) On Sunday, 5 ,hrly 1953, cooperatives and state stores of the city oi' Craiova sold 25,000 kilograms oi' vegetables on the city market. Frices for staples sold at cooperatives and state stores were 50 percent lower than the prices on the free marklograms of stringy bea;;s, ;;nd 3,;;00 ::iii,};rams of cucumbers.(3) Hungarian ,lutonomous Regiune Fifteen collectives of the Hungarian Autor.om.uus Eeg;une brour;bt. t!:eir produce to torn or, ?5 dune 1953. On 2 July, another 16 collectives, including the Viata- Cfoua Collective of ldicolesti-Ciba Commune, the Libertatea Collective of Ilieni Commune, and collectives of );rnei, ilazana, and Panet communes delivered thousands of kilorams of ve~etnbies to the market. Sorne of these collectives earned 12,000-20,000 lei from the sale of vegetables.(5) Stalin Regiune Collectives and individual peasants supplied cities of Stalin ReF;iune with 200,000 lei wortli of vegetables i'rom 1,673 hectares of hardens. They brought to market vegetables worth 21,1)00 lei, r_hee^,e north 4q,500 lei., and 20,520 eggs in the first week of July, The Drumu-llou Collective of CriE;tian Commune sold vegetables worth ?,563 lei and egos, cheese, and lambs worth 20,483 lei on the Stalin market. The Olga IIanciuc Collective, Bradu Commune, sold hundreds of kilograms of pens, carrots, etc., and shipped 50G kilograms of peas to Cisnadia at half price.(5) Tt~e Sscadate Collecti??= sold 850 Y.ilograms of vegetables. The 6 Martie Col- lective, Selimbnr Commune, and the Steau~ Rorie Collective nlso sold large quantities of produce. The 6 Mnrtie Collective sold 23,700 l:ilotg?ams of vegetables, 4,000 eggs, 1,200 kilograms of cheese, and 5,000 liters of milk to cooperatives on the Sibiu market on 22 July 153.
