1. OCI Memo of 24 January to DCI of Situation Summary on
Developments in Eastern Tibet and Yunnan Province as of
22 January 1963 which contains no unusually significant developments
but does report some new items and confirmation on air fields
military installations, industry and transportation. 25X1
2. OCI Memo, "The East German Party Cong"ress" indicating
that Khrushchev in effect conceded that the USSR was not now in a
position to press Western powers on a Berlin settlement which would

5. OCI Memorandum of 31 January on "Indonesian Policy
Toward Malaysia" states that Sukarno's attitude toward Malaysia
(a federation composed of Malaya, Singapore, Sarawak, Brunei,
and British North Borneo) appears to be rooted in Indonesian'
expansionism, fed by hostility toward Western colonialism and
antipathy toward the Malayan government, which Sukarno regards
as pro-Western.
