CLASSIFICATION
1. HKangju Airfield is 700 meters east of Hwang )u Railroad Station (125-45, 38-42)
(10-3987)? The awield is 4 kilometers long, 2 kilometers wide. There are
four hangars, each 100 meters wide and 10 meters high, built in the form of
half-shelters. No airplanes are stationed at this field; it is for transient
and emergency landings only. Two platoons of the 218 Unit attached to the
North Korean Air Force Headquarters are the guard detail for this field.
2. Anak Airfield is 2 kilometers west of Anak Railroad Station (125-30, 38-30)
(YU-1864). The field is 5 kilometers long, 2 kilometers wide. There are
three half-smelter hangars, each 5 meters long, 20 meters high, and sunk 5
meters deep. The roofs are not camouflaged. No planes are stationed at the
field, which is used for transients and emergency only. One platoon of, the
218 Unit guards the field.
3. Sunan Airfield is 1 kilometer west of Sunan Railroad Station (125-41,9 , 3 are .12)
(TD-3242). The field is 4 kilometers long, 2 kilometers wide.

I. Anju Airfield is 2 kilometers southwest of Anju Railroad Station (125-40, 39-37)
(ID-2988). The field is 5 kilometers long and 2 kilometers wide. There are
four hangars of the roofless shelter type, each 50 meters long, 20 meters wide,
and 10 meters high. It is a transient field only, guarded by one platoon of the
218 Unit.
5. Snnch'on Airfield, 2 kilometers west of Sunah'on Railroad Station (125-56, 39-25)
(2D-5267) is 4 kilometers long and 2 kilometers wide. There are four shelter-
type, roofless hangars, each 70 meters long, 2 meters wide and 10 meters high.
It is a transient field only, guarded by one platoon of the 218 Unit.
6. Chongju Airfield is 300 meters north of Haden Railroad Station (125-06, 39-4h)
(XS-8000) and 5 kilometers northwest of Chongju (125013, 39-42) (XD-9096). The
field is 4 kilometers long and 2 kilometers wide. There are four shelter-type
hangars, each 50 meters long, 20 meters wide and 10 meters high. The field is
for transient traffic only. Two platoons of the 218 Unit guard the field.

7s Nirim Airfield is in the P'yangyang area. Construction and repairs have been
completed for transient traffic only. One company of the 218 Unit guards the
field.
8. Sonkyo ri Airfield is in the Plyonsorang area. The construction of rurnrays and
hangars was completsd No aircraft are stationed there
permanently, The field is guarded by one company of the 218 Unit.
4. At Ui3u Airfield four near hangars were completed These
are shelter type, each 50 meters long, 20 meters wide, and 8 meters high. 50X1 -HUM
10o A Soviet airfield at Uiju was completed
