BOWEN COLLECTION Thursday, November 3, 1983, 7:00 P.M. Howard A. Gunlocke Special Collections Room Joseph Mark Lauinger Memorial Library 37th and 0 Streets, N.W. Washington, D.C. For many years, Colonel Russell J. Bowen has been collecting titles on intelligence, security, and covert activities. He has deposited, in the George- town University Library, more than six thousand books and documents for use by students, faculty, and researchers. In connection with this, the National Intelligence Study Center has re- cently published a subject bibliography of the Bowen Collection, en- titled Scholar's Guide to Intelligence Literature. The exhibit will open on November 3, 1983, at 7:00 p.m., with a special reception to honor Colonel Bowen. The brief program will include re- marks by Colonel Bowen, Dr. Ray S. Cline and Dr. Walter Pforzheimer who will focus on the key role intelligence plays in U.S. national securit~~ and foreign policy.
