5. The maz'ifacturcd gun carriages and mountings were tostud for
exactness of dir nsions and approximately 8-10 per ce:it were sent back
as defective. The follow'-ng de:fectr v'ero found:
Side supports of unequal length or oadly welded
Defects and cracks of welded parts
Bearings broken
Wheel-springs broken
The rejection of defective carriages novar affected the noxt.
6. The ma_xiifacturcd gun carriages were delivered to DIOGYCR works.

procedure vrith the guns and uccasicnal defects shown at Ourtlier tests were
pointed out t them.
7. Shell- Bade -vcry meo inically cut frsm iron tubes, prefised into
corioal shape with two grooves for copper rings, and turned to the right
oallbvu, The shell heads were than delivered to DIOwYGR, where the
copper ' ngs were mounted. The?shell -heads were never returned to GYOR.
