SUBJECT: Progress Report on Actions Resulting from IG Survey
1. Attached hereto are the status reports from the Branches concerning 25X1
the actions being taken to satisfy the requirements placed upon= by the
IG Survey as approved by the DDCI on 29 March 1957. 25X1
2. Also attached is a chart showing a listing of the items for which
is responsible with a column in which action closed out has been recorded.
Action has been closed out on all the recommendations for which
Branch is responsible except No. 35 on which action is continuing.
Branch has indicated completed action (or requested cancellation
recommendations for which responsible except Nos. 4, 27b, and 33.
Branch has reported action closed out on all recommendations for which
responsible except Nos. 15, 18 e, 18 g, and 23, and has indicated continuing
action on Nos. 5, 19, 20, 26, and 32. (Requested, also, the latter items be
dropped from future reports.) Branch has reported that no
action can be taken on recommendation No. 18f pending a high-level policy
decision.
3. Relatively few recommendations remain that can be closed out by some
specific action, but will require continuing action for an undeterminable period
of time. It is recommended that this special report no longer be required and
that the respective Branches record the progress on the remaining recommen-
dations in the Monthly Status Report.
