Mr. Pforzheimer handed to Senator McCarran the Director's letter dated 10 January 1952 - the CIA quarterly report on Section 8 cases. 2. Transmitted to Congressman Sheehan's.office some maps on Poland and Russia which the Congressman desired in connection with the Katyn Forest massacre investigation and a television speech he was making. 4. I also talked with Congressman Busbey in connection with STATINTL his similar letter of 25 January, and was subject to the usual torrent of Busbey's comments regarding the pro-Communists in CIA. Despite the torrents, he was perfectly friendly on a personal basis. I informed hi m, however, that the President's directive regarding release of loyalty information would prevent us from making a copy of the C 0 available to him.
