The fibers tested vere pure polYacz7lonitrile containing 4 mol.$ W-ethylamide of citraconic acid. Temperature-stress curves are given for isothermal heating of fibers subjected of identical plastification stretchine and of fibers with identical strength but different compositions and molecular weights. Curves are also given showing the modulus of elasticity of the fibers as a function of temperature. Overall fiber orientation (determined from the maximum on the isothermal beating curves) increases inpolyacrylonitrile fibersl f equal strength as the concen- BATRAKOVA, T.V.; SHEIalETIYEVA, T.V.; PYRKOV, L.M. Copolymerizations were in aqueous media using oxidation-reduction initiators. The monoamides copolymerize with acrylonitrile in different molar ratios; their activity is greater than the activity of pure acrylonitrile since resultant copolymers were richer in monoamide than the composition of the initial mixture. Fiber formed from the copolymera were stronger than polyacrylonitrile fiberaj Card 1/2 UDC: 677.494-745-32 ACC NR' AP6012416 7
