TEXTz The effect is studiea of additions of various polyalkyl

crylates (including polydecyl and polycetyl methacrylate) on-

cation point of transformer and a number of other oils. It is
shown that
the depression of the solidification point of oils depends on
the heat
of solution and, hence, on the molecular weight of the polymer.

Abstract : The procedure of detecting inadequate
airtightness of tins
containing canned fat, consists in heating the tins as a
result of which the pressure iraide of them is raised and
the fat escapes -through any lealry points that might be
present. The surface of the can is wiped off with cotton
wooi. moistened with ether. The can is wrapped in paper
which is made to fit tI.Shtly to the surface of the can.
