TITLE: Brazing loy for molybdenum and its alloys. Class 49, No. 186261
SOURCE: Izobre prom abraz tov zn, 1. 18, 1966, 148
TOPIC TAGS: brazing alloy, molybdenum brazing, molybdenum alloy brazingj,
ABSTRACT: This Author Certificate introduces a brazing alloy for molybdenum and Its
alloys. To increase the heat resistance and ductility of brazed joints, 0.5-3.0%
molybdenum is added to the basic components of the brazing alloy, which contains
38-42% manganese 18-22Z nickel and 38-42% copper..

Relation between heat of fu3ion melting point ratio and the sequence
number of an element
Farlodical j Dok. AN SSSR 98/29 227-228, Sap 11, 1954
Abstmat I..Attempts were made to eetablish the relation betveen heat of fusion
and melting point similar to the one established for the heat of eva-
poration. It was established that the melting bntropy is a periodical
function depending upon the sequence number of the'given element of
the D. 1. Mendel4yev periodical system of elements. Experiments show-
ed that elements of the F-subgroup have a maximum melting entropy in
every period; alkali and alkali earth metals have the lowest melting
entropy'among all other metal groups. Graph.

crystallization'of modified Al-Si alloys (Silumin). The thin eutectic
structure formed during the crystalli7.8tion of modified Siluniina w3s
investigated. A special thermal analysis showed that vibration
sharply decreaser the supercolling durinL the Cryst:11lization of the

of 7 - 100 (570-5670) then the supercoolinC will be completely eliminated

TITLE: On the practicability of the Meyer rule during hardness tests

TEXT: Investigations were carried out to determine the practicability of
the Meyer rule: P - adn, where P '- load, d - indentation diameter, a and n -
test constants. The hardness was determined at room and elevated temperatures
(300, 400, 450 and 5000C) on Pb, Al, Cu, bronze and brass specimens, the Indenter
impression duration being 0.5, 5 and 50 minutes. It was found that during hard-
ness tests at 20 0C and elevated temperatures, a deviation from the Meyer rule
is taking place in the range-of considerable deformation, i.e. n is no constant
of the given material, but depends on the temperature, holding time and degree
of deformation.
