TEXT: Parameters dependent on carrier frequency are analyzed and
methods are given for calculating the attenuation at a frequency
differing from that at which the link was measured. Some fundamental
effects of radio wave propa8ation are considered as well as the pa-
rameters of the microwave equipment which are of importance to the
attenuation. The paper is written for tho se,specializing in calcu-

TEXT: In an attempt to obtain quick-acting logic and memory ele-
ments research has been carried out at the Instytut elektroniki !PP
T 1ANN (institute of Electronics IPPT PAS) on methods of obtaining
thin-layered permalloyo by vapor deposition iki vAdUUM And by eloa-
trodeposition. The technology of electrolytic methods described is
based on first covering a thin glass rod with a layer of silver and
then subjecting it to electrolytic action in a bath containing ni-
ckel and iron anodes. By varying the concentration o1' nickel and
iron ions in various solutions, layers of permalloy were obtained.
OscilloscoDic methods %,.,ere employed for the static measurements of
magnetic properties. No attempt as yet been made to eliminate the

show that there is a limiting value for saccharin addition, equal to about o.6
g/liter. Further increase in saccharin above this limiting value does not pro-

ments were made with a tube-type pit motor. There is a Wdiing acidity value

An increase in the solutionts acidity leads to a rapid rise in the layer's

of identical composition but with pH values of 4*3 and 3o3o The third case was a

milliamps/cm~)., while the processes for the first solution have a monotonic

Abstract: It was found that calcined chalk marls (M) of Lithuanian SSR can be
used as calcareous component in the production of silicate brick.
With a 10-15% content of M in the paste strength of the brick is
200-300 kg/cm2. It is also possible to use calcined or partially
calcined M as hydraulic additive (50~, of the weight of binder) to
produce brick of first grade.
