TEXTt The reactions of 19 cations with rutin M on paper were investigated.
The paper was impregnated with a 0-5% solu.tion.of I., The stain colours in
visible and UV light are indicated as well-as the minimum to be determined.
The utility of these reactions for paper chromatography is investigated,
both using paper treated beforehand with I and relying on subsequent -'etec-
tion by a solution of I. The first method is often applicable and yields
a more marked separation. The best solvents proved to be methanol.and
ethanol, acidified by HC1 (50 ml solvent + 5 fal 1 N HCI)- The separation
of the following triple systems is shown to be poesiblet Fe3+ - Tj4+

T Tests were performed with toroidal cores of a ferrite contain-
ing 53% Fe2o3t 30% MnC, 17% ZnO, sintered at a temperature of 1,34000 for
3 hours and air-cooled, with a permeability of 700 Gs/Oe. Samples of 25
pieces were placed in thermostats at temperatures of 30, 60 and 1000C res-
peot1vely. Intensity of the 1 kc test field was checked by means of vol-
tage tests on a series resistor and amounted to 10 mOe. Temperature varia-
tAons during the test did not exceed + 0.50C. Maximum temperature varia-

tuncti6n V (t) which describes the irreversibility of the permeability
change is shown in Fig.l. The result shows that the permeability change due
to stationary temperature coercion closely follows the exponential law for

placed in a temperature of 600C approaches the exponential only after about
1$000 hours. After the ferrites placed in a thermostat at 1000C reached a
flattened course of the mean variance 1P (t) they were subjected to adcli-
tional thermal surge coercion. Reduction from 1000C to ambient temperature
and subsequent short raising to 2000C caused a reversible change in perme-
ability. There are 4 figures.

Abstract One of the shortcomings of concretes is the deviation
between the projected and actual values of.their rigi-
dities. It is noted that the surface of the grains of
the filler influences the rigidity of the concretes
To elininate the indicated deviations and to increase
the rigidity of the concrete, it is recommended that
the quality of the filler be raised especially of the
fine. By emphasizing the dependence between the abili-
