Abstract: The polarimetrie method of sugar determination is justi-
fied, if concentrated solutions were used. The sugar

TEXTt A suspenz;ion consisting of a solution of polystZrrene in an organic
solvent and of suspended particles of a finely comminuted metal or metallic
COMDound (e. g. titanium or titanium hydride, scandium, molybdenum) Was
ap,,71ied to Craphite surfaces. The volatile constituents were then renoved
fVom the suspen3ion-coated surface by heating the article in A high vacuum
by means of a high-frequency or'other electric heater, some of the organic
substances contained in the suspension being vaporized by the heating but
most of them being transformed into pure porous carbon which formed an
intermediate layer between the graphite and its metal coating. Example:
10 g powdPred zirconium and 100 ml lWa 'benzene solution of polystyrene are
mixed. The resultant 3uspension Is sprayed on tb the graphite surface.
After 0.5-1 hr the coated article is heated in a vacuum to 1300 00 by meana

Abstract CAuthors, English summary modified -7: Tests of the
apparatus were conducted in vitro. Urea clearance at a flow rate
of 200 ml/min was 135 ml/min, ultra-filtration 1.~,2 ml/min, the
inner impedance 95 torrs. The basic filling volume of the
blood path is 150 ml, and including the flowmeter, pump, and
tubing 350 ml. Blood space of the dialyzer increases at a flow
rate of 200 ml/min by 30 ml above the basic data given above.
The efficiency of the kidney should be determined on the basis
of permeability, which does not depend either on the flow rate
