at pH 6-7, to 8o-90', proteins are coagulated with

It follows from an analysis of material collected during 10 yr. that Warsaw ranks

among old foci of endemic malaria. The periodic appearance of ? peaks of the
curve of incidence suggests the occurrence of 2 types of malarial parasites- Plas-
modium vivax hibernans and Plasmodium vivax vivax. I

of Its Course in Warsaw.

Abstract: A description of a malaria epidenic in Poland is
given. Analysis of the graphs of the nalaria in
Warsaw in 1947-1949 point to the existence here of
two subspecies of traarial parasites. The disease
increase in the first half of the year aml is caused
by Plasmodium vivax hibernana, which pomoonaou a
long period of incubation; the second clisease Increase
is caused in autumn by Pl. vivax vivax (Rikolayeir D.P.)
