solutions in toluene and xylene in the reglion of T
concentrations from 0 to 100% were studied. It was es-
tablished that the equilibrium elasticity modulus
depended on the concentration of I In the concentraticn

ABSTRACT: For the investigation of the rheological properties of polymer solutions
in an almost homogeneous field of tensions and deformations, rotatory vis-
cosimeters of the type of the Shvedov and Oudiv devices with torsion-
dynamometers, with narrow clearances between the movable and the immovable
elements of the working organ were employed, as irell as the instruments
based on the shear of the specimen material, hwring the form of a parallel
piped, between two channeled plates. For description of the stmictural-
mechanical properties of the polymer solutions the system of rheological
characteristics is utilized. The authors are distinguishing between the
two types of tension relaxation: the real relaxation due to the "secular"

PeptFc-`u1_cUe'r patients were treated with 3 types of sleep-therapy. One group of pa-

tients was treated with 'long-sleep' (18-20 hr. ) induced by barbiturates. A 2nd
group of patients was treated with 'long-sleep' combined with vit. B, admi
ftistra-
tion. A 3rd group of patients received 'prolonged night-sleep'(10-12 hr. ) com-
bined with vit, B, and bromate administration. The early results of treatment
were considered unfavourable in the first group (chiefly due to marked toxic
symptoms), less unfavourable in the second group and favourable in the third.
However, the late results of the later type of sleep therapy were not better than
those achieved with ordinary treatment. There seems to be deficiency of vit. BI
in peptic ulcer patients and this deficiency may be aggravated by barbiturate
