Such piston rinEs found a wide- spread application for modern vehicle encines in Americav Great Britain and other countries. In 1957, INA7,11I conducted experi- ments with imported steel piston rinUs for determininff the constructional parameters and the operational characteristics. (Sverdlovsk) TITLE: A Simplified Method of Manufacturing Parts of AiM-7 Plastics PERIODICAL: Radio, 1959, Nr 5, p 38 (USSR) ABSTRACT: For manufacturing simple plastic parts, dial knobs, etc., which require only one accurate surface, the author suggests a very simple method. Plasticine is filled into a container of suitable dimensions. The model of the part to be produced is Dressed into the plasticine. Powdered AKk-7 plastu-ic is dissolved in a aolvent and stirred until it becomes viscous and is then filled into the prepared mold. After 4-6 hours the part is removea and receives its final shape by cutting with a ra7,or blade. The part is dried for two dayo and is then boiled in water for Card 112 -90 minutes, w--erel~p'- 'it becomes completely V 60 ).n 06h35 SOV107-59-5-30/51 A Simplified blethod of Manufacturing Parts of AKR-7 Plastics solid. The author further gives some recommendations for coloring, such as by adding soot to the plastic in small amounts.
