ABSLRAC`~: The authors of triis article have been engaged duri n~; tl~e
l ~.st few years on tY~e development of a 50o kW triode, whose
construction differs substantially from th~~t of -rhe earlier
models. Tour such. trioc~s, type :PC'D~ -St~C, have been
e~~ployed. successfully at one of the r~Ioscow ncediu~n-wave broad-
casting stations and two triodes have give:a a sa'~isfactox�y
p~~rforma.nce in high-po~rrer, short-wave transmitters. De~~~.gw
of the triode was carried out on the basis of the theory given
b,~~ K~~zur-oza (Ref .4) and Zusmanovskiy (Ref , 3) . Some o f t7ie
