The Foreign Broadcast Information Service has a continuing interest in improving its field bureau communications wherever possible. We have included the requirement for a f 11 duplex, 75-baud, full period SKYLINK teletype circuit foIl ie past several annual Communications Support Requirements submissions. 2. In discussions with members of your staff earlier this year, we learned that while the date was not firm, it was anticipated that a SKYLINK installation F_ would take place sometime in late CY 85. F-1 This memorandum confirms FBIS interest in a SKYLINK circuit for as soon as practical but we would prefer a 150-baud, rather than 75-baud, circuit if the higher speed port is available. The bureau ently utilizes a 75-baud teletype circuit to the closure is an on-going topic of discussion. 4.
