Request for Contract Amendment, Contract 605, Task Order 4-
1. Under the terms of Contract 605, Task Order 4,
is developing for this Office a
4P
breakdown parabolic antenna system. This to difficulties in obtain-
ing certain component, parts for this system and unexpected technical
couplications, this task has been extended beyond the original
eamleticn date and will be completed approximately 1 August 1959.
The project engineer for this work is
by the contractor, and an extension of the date of termination to
1 August 1959. Attached is Requisition No. ld 60-16 indicating
that the allotment to be charged for this project is 8-7912-50-600.
Funds in the amount of $927.00 have been encumbered for this purpose.
2. A request for additional funds to cover this extension of
time and the increased develoim>Ieutal effort has been received from
the contractor in a letter dated. 25 June 1959, a copy of which is
attached. The contractor's explanation for the delay has been care-
fully examined by this Office and is considered justified.
3. It is requested that Task Order 4 of Contract 605 be
amended to authorize the expenditure of the additional funds requested
