The British are resolved to make no special arrangements with the French and say they intend to keep other EEC members informed of the results of talks with the French. For its part Paris, still suspicious of Ambassador Soamesc is trying to conduct discussions with the "highest levels of the Wilson government." 50X1 50X1 50X1 ? It may be no coincidence however, that NCNA, two days after the Department's announcement, quoted an unnamed American at a Chinese exhibit in Copenhagen to the effect that the US "blockade" had kept him ignorant of the "new' China." Moscow is treating the subject with considerable cir- cumspection. Such comment as there has been has been limited to scattered domestic and foreign radio brOadcasts. These view the announcement with some foreboding as sympto- matic of Sino-US collusion, with Peking cOurting Washington as part of its anti-Soviet course and Washington responding to a situation which "reactionary" US circles think exploit- able. EL SALVADOR,- HONDURAS Salvadoran troops are removing everything of value and destroying much of what they can't carry. They are bitter that the Salvadorans got off without being de- clared aggressors or penalized in any way. Moreover, matters are not helped any by the Salvadoran radio's con- tinued crowing about "diplomatic as well as military vic- tory." 50X1 50X1 / 3 FOR THE PRESIDENT ONLY Declassified in Part - Sanitized Copy Approved for Release 2016/04/27 : CIA-RDP79T00936A007400020001-3 Declassified in Part - Sanitized Copy Approved for Release 2016/04/27 : CIA-RDP79T00936A007400020001-3 Top Secret Declassified in Part - Sanitized Copy Approved for Release 2016/04/27 : CIA-RDP79T00936A007400020001-3
