JORDAN
The deadly serious squabble between King Husayn
and the fedayeen has eased off and Amman is outwardly
calm. Nothing is settled, however, and the struggle
could begin again at any time. Negotiations have
been recessed until 21 February because of the re-
ligious holidays,
Husayn has been accused of weakness be-
cause he preferred negotiating to fight-
ing,
