Moreover, the Chinese press now reports that Mao was photographed with performers at the Peiping opera Monday night. He would at least seem well enough for ceremonial duties. Bolivia Faced with unrest in various quar- ters and threats by adherents of ex -L'Irice President Lechin to rebel, the government has declared a "state of emergency." Concern over repercussions following a break with Cuba--possibly in the offing--could also be a factor. C. European Satellites East Germany, Poland, and Czechoslovakia had higher rates of industrial growth in the first half of 1964 than in 1963, the postwar low, largely because of the return of normal weather during the past winter.
