The Balaguer government has finally moved to deport leaders of the pro-Castro movement, but the armed forces are pressing for wholesale action against all opposition elements. Meanwhile, Hector and Arismendi Trujillo have apparently left the country. Both sides have violated a propaganda truce reached last November. Friction between the two is of long standing and arises' from differences in poli- tical orientation, a border dispute now before the World Court, and animosity between Sarit and Sihanouk. The UN wants to dispel any notion that it has recognized Katanga's in- dependence, and is noncommittal on its policy should the central govern- ment invade Katanga.
